About Lantern Paws

Lantern Paws is a small, independent website about the loss of a pet. We write guides for people in the first raw days after a pet dies, for people supporting a friend, and for people who are looking for a gentle way to remember an animal they loved.

Why this site exists

For many people, a pet is family, and yet the grief that follows is often brushed aside. We wanted to build a calm, practical place that takes that grief seriously, without hype, pressure or clutter.

How we write

• We aim to be warm, plain and honest. We do not invent statistics, quotes or testimonials.
• We share general, widely understood guidance. We are not veterinarians, doctors or therapists, and we say so. See the disclaimer.
• We point you toward professional and community support when it may help.
• All text and ideas on this site are written for it. If you spot an error, please tell us and we will correct it.

Our connection to a shop

Lantern Paws is run by the owner of Evermore Paw Co, an online shop that sells pet memorial keepsakes such as posters, ornaments, mugs and blankets. Some articles link to our shop. When they do, we say so clearly, and we may earn money if you buy. Our designs are ready-made and are not personalized. We never make health or healing claims about any product, and every guide is written to be useful even if you buy nothing.
